Day 197, Attack at the Dwarven Compound & the Old Dwarven City.

That night, there is an attack from the mainland.

The dwarves collapse the tunnels, sealing in the men of Cuhullin.  The group breaks out and makes their way to the kitchen, finding all other ways blocked.

They break through from the modern Dwarven compound into the ancient tunnels of the dwarves far below, and make their way down.

There they face three challenges!

The first is a cavern of ancient homes that seems empty at first, but then begins to flood with angry kobolds, charging towards them!  The group beat a retreat to a huge door, and seal it behind them.

The second cave is made of dozens of horizontal platforms stacked on pillars above each other.  Olo transforms into a dragon and flies the group over the platforms to the far door where they camp.

The third cave is a network of caves; the walls are made of carved heads of old dwarven heroes. and kings.
They bar the door behind them to keep the kobolds out, using traps and shaping.  They thensee that the heads are hollow, and Boz senses that non humanoids live here.

There are houses in here, luxury ones, and they find ants in them!  HUGE ANTS

They see a mesa in the middle of the cavern with a crystal temple on it.  While trying to access it they are pushed back by ants and take refuge in the head of Bhor Badir, the last dwarven king ....? Malik uses Pscychometry and sees his coronation, his fight at Kallum Kyle, and his fall into the ground
Malik relays this to the others.

Malik and Olo fly to the ant-queen lair, and isabel covers Boz, but the ant queen attacks his mind, and tries to pull him into the collective mind!

Olo uses the temple to reach the dwarven king, but his kingly temper overwhelms him and they almost fight, ending the connection.  Olo sees that the dwarven king is held in some kind of collar.

They flee back to the head of Bhor Badir and rest there, while debate happens.

Decision is made, they fly up to the new tunnels, and cut their wayy back in.; It is Day 198
